Online Access to Visa Wait Times for Interview Appointments at Consulates
USCIS has added a helpful link providing “wait times” for nonimmigrant visas issued at the various U.S. Consulates around the world. The online information lets applicants know in advance how long it will take for a visa to be processed at the Consular Section, after a decision is made by a Consular Officer to issue the visa, and the visa is available for pick-up by you or the courier at the embassy. This will be especially helpful for H and L applicants who need to coordinate professional obligations with travel and visa processing. “Wait Times for a Nonimmigrant Visa to be Processed” at http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tempvisitors_wait.php is now available.
