20,000 new H-1B Visas available for Professional Workers with Master’s Degree or higher from U.S. universities
|
|
On December 8, 2004, legislation was signed that reforms the H-1B and L Visa programs. There is presently in effect a cap which precludes new H-1B filings until after April 1, 2005 for start-dates of October 1, 2005. This new legislation allows employers of professional and specialty occupation workers to file for H-1B status if the employee possesses a Master’s degree or higher from a U.S. university which relates to the job offered. For more information about the new legislation for H-1B or L visa applications, including the increased filing fees, please contact Ed White at 617.227.2915 or ewhite@immigrationed.com |
